Not a good way to end 2013 - -
Thinking the year was about to end with little drama - - shortly after 3 p.m., we received call a 340 Sea Ray was sinking in the dock and needed assistance - -
340 Sea Ray - down a bit in the stern
"Atlantis" Diver McNitt prepares to inspect and
commence pumping
De watering with 2 inch pump
Water level just prior to pumping
Quick salvage response by Lake Tow boats and crews, followed by the Lampe Marine Team prevented vessel from sinking and becoming a large potential Environmental problem with substantial more damage and expensive recovery.  Initial inspection indicates vessel was taking on water due to shattered Sea Strainer bowl, (freeze/thaw) allowing water to flow in to engine compartment. - -
