Brookings, Oregon, March 11, 2011 - over 4000 miles from JAPAN, yet, still touched by this terrible tragedy - As shown on BITTER END BLOG yesterday - the TSUNAMI traveled around the world to cause problems for us in the US. I echo the thoughts of Capt Rodriguez in his BLOG POST yesterday: "The devastation in Japan is unfathomable. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Japanese people."
While in the Coast Guard, I spent a lot of time in JAPAN in the 1980's and worked in many of the area's that have been hardest hit - I hope that many of the friends I made while there are safe - - -
