PLAYING POKER WITH A DEAD QUEEN - - - THE QUEEN IS DEAD

THIS TIME THE QUEEN IS REALLY DEAD - -
BACK IN EARLY MARCH OF THIS YEAR, one of our first cases of 2010, was a Steel Hull, River Queen Houseboat which had sunk.  We assisted our Salvage partner, ATLANTIS DIVE, in raising her and containing the oil spill she had created.  (SEE POST HERE)  After she was raised, the owner was advised that she should be hauled and removed from the water, the post salvage value was very low and she might sink again - - -.  Owner decided NOT to remove her, put a small electric pump aboard, and would "sell" her - - - FAST FORWARD TO MID-JULY and   - -  YUP - You guessed it!  SHE GOES DOWN AGAIN - - Luckily, this time, NO sheen or spill as she had been drained of oil and fuel and oil only containment sorbs were left inside the hull.  ATLANTIS raised her AGAIN yesterday and this time we towed her to yard for HAUL-OUT and scrapping - - -

BOATS - - - Sometimes, just like a poker hand - -
KNOW WHEN TO FOLD 'EM - -
