Sobriety Checkpoint - August 15



Sobriety Checkpoint at Lake of the Ozarks

On the evening of Saturday, August 15, the Missouri State Water Patrol conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Lake of the Ozarks at the 4 mile mark of the Grandglaize Arm. (PARTY COVE)

The results are as follows:

Boats Stopped: 97

Boating While Intoxicated Arrests: 9
Other citations: 5
Warnings: 9

We had two (2) BUI tows from this check-point - - Looks like our 2007 number is coming up fast - - -

PHOTOS: - The top photo shows 6 of the 8+ patrol boats engaged in the latest checkpoint. Bottom photo shows several vessels being stopped as they funneled out of party cove (Note - only one way in and one way out unless your thinking of an overland crossing - - )
