We have been having some strange weekends here this season, just when you think things are slowing down, suddenly they take off. Friday was nothing. I picked up a quick tow of a 23 ft TIGE ski boat early saturday morning for a HST to the 20.5 m/m. Capt Jones was ready to head for home on Saturday evening, after standing by @ our Osage Beach port all day with no calls - - just as he headed for home, he gets a call to pick up a stranded Rinker followed immediately by a 37 ft Four Winns with jammed steering. Then around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning I picked up a BUI tow for the Water Patrol, followed immediately by a disabled 38 ft BAJA with 'Jammed Steering"?? He was at the 2 mile mark and had to be towed to the 5.5. I finished up at 3:45 a.m. and rolled out again around 10:00 a.m. Sunday to get a 36ft Meridian Aft Cabin for a 16.5 mile tow for haul-out (sheared both prop shaft keys, due to loose prop nuts - -). This was a challenge tow as we had a 15 to 20 knot wind, a very narrow place to take him to the travel lift with the wind behind us - - FUN!

EDITORS NOTE: With 2 "Jammed steering" tows almost back to back and a 36 footer shears BOTH prop keys, I'm thinking that "Murphy" has decided to leave the east coast and vacation here for awhile:(
