Today began with relative warm temperatures around 50 deg. Major part of the lake was still frozen over with rotting and thinning ice from the warm winds of yesterday - - then around lunch time - the wind kicked up and all hell broke loose - - it was ROCK & ROLL! Suddenly in less than a 1/2 hour the ice was gone from main channel and nothing but white caps and spray could be seen. At 2:55 p.m. Water Patrol contacted us about a 23ft Sea Ray broken loose near 5 mm and was banging against docks and caught in cables. Officer said it had grounded, but was going to get beat up - - SOOO, Myself and Tim McNitt launched TowBoat and headed out - - for a little cruise - Our local "Weather Bug was reporting
gusts up to 62 MPH.
