BLINDED BY THE LIGHT - -!!!

A similar bolt struck near to fisherman heading for home and temporarily
stunned and blinded him,  causing him to run up on dock

A late morning thunderstorm sent this fisherman scurrying for home - just inside the Big Niangua @ 31 mm as he entered his cove, trying to beat the storm and lightning - - a nearby strike - momentarily stunned and blinded him, sending him and his 2003, 20ft Pro-Craft boat up on to a neighbors dock, wedging it solidly between dock stanchions - - LUCKIEST MAN, he was NOT injured, but boat sustained major damage and is likely totaled -  Using comelalongs, air bags and TowBoat, and to avoid additional damage to the dock - - it took about 5 hours to extricate from it's "tight" temporary mooring - - it was towed to near-by ramp and trailered.

NOT a Drive up window - -!

AND NOW IT'S ON THE BIG SCREEN!!

"BLINDED BY THE LIGHT" in 1976 - OH YEAH!!
