AXE MEN - - - The REAL McCOY!

We often are asked "What do you guys do in the OFF season"?  Well, as you can tell by some of the posts, were not exactly sitting around and watching paint dry - - but,  two of our part-time summer crewman , Todd & Kirk Fischer, have been keeping busy playing AXE-MEN!  They have been cutting timber and logging on one of our farms.  They have pulled, cut, prepped and staged over 350 logs over the past few weeks.  They have them laid out for the Timber buyers to come by and bid.  We had well over 200 "walnut" logs which are bringing a good price on the market along with "white oak".  This is very hard work and requires a keen eye and good sense.  They are not "clear cutting" and are careful to drop the selected trees where they will do the least damage to new growth for marketing later.
